-1968 Corvette 427-
The first year of the C3 Corvette. Many engines were offered with this body style, the rarest of course being the L-88 Corvette with only 80 examples ever made. The next lowest production engine offered for 1968 was the L-68 427 Tri-Power big block motor. Only 1,932 examples were made. Of those numbers, most were installed in the T-top model Corvette, and the rest were placed in convertibles, making this 1 of approximately 320 Corvettes with this engine option. A very rare Corvette, especially as presented with the 4-speed M-20 transmission. Head rests were an option for 1968 and became standard in '69. This is an all matching numbers Corvette in its original safari yellow paint contrast with the correct black interior and black convertible soft top. This particular car was originally sold to California and delivered with its factory pollution pump and equipment which is still in the car today. This car was featured in the complete book of Corvettes published in the mid 1980s.
